Gitschberg Jochtal Ski Area
Skiing on the Gitschberg Mountain and in the Jochtal Valley
While relatively small compared to the other major ski resorts in the Dolomites, the Gitschberg Jochtal ski area’s 22 kilometres of well-maintained ski slopes and 8 lifts, including two modern gondolas, provide comfort and plenty of diversity for skiers. The region also benefits greatly from the surrounding ski resorts in the area. From Mühlbach it only takes a few minutes to drive to the Plose in Brixen or to one of the popular ski areas such as Kronplatz or Alta Badia. This allows skiers to use a network comprising a total of 1200 kilometres of slopes and 500 lifts covered by the Dolomiti Superski.
The tourist infrastructure in the villages of Mühlbach, Vals and Meransen is good. Near Brixen is also a small town which offers more alternatives.
