The Val Gardena
Tourism stronghold in the Dolomites
The Val Gardena Valley (German: Gadertal) is the main tourist area in the Dolomites par excellence. The originally rural valley, with the closely connected main towns of Urtijei, Santa Cristina and Selva, is now a continuous strip of hotels and tourist facilities. Despite the hype, the valley is enticing, with over 80 ski lifts in winter and hundreds of kilometres of hiking trails in the summer. A true paradise of winter sports for mountain enthusiasts. Those who want to spend a quiet holiday in the Ladin Dolomites will not be at home here – sports, action and a party atmosphere are all present here to a great extent.
Holidays in the Val Gardena
Anyone who goes on holiday in the Val Gardena can expect sporting enjoyment both in the summer as well as in the winter. More than 80 ski lifts and hundreds of kilometres of hiking trails offer endless possibilities. The possibilities for tourists in the Val Gardena are large and the prices are correspondingly high – so anyone who doesn’t come in the off-season should book well in advance.
