The Seiser Alm area
Unique natural landscape in the western Dolomites
One of the most unique natural landscapes in the world awaits visitors in the Seiser Alm area. The meadows and pastures of the Seiser Alm form one of the largest contiguous alpine areas in the Alps. 1000 metres below lies the vast plateau around the towns of Kastelruth, Seis and Völs, and 600 metres above, the chalk-high plateau of the Schlern. Simply a paradise for hikers, mountain bikers and skiers. At least one long hike is a must for every visitor.
Holidays in the Seiser Alm area
An extensive network of hiking trails makes the Seiser Alm area in the summer a paradise for mountain lovers. Comfortable hiking from hut to hut, on hilltops and through forests – and all that in front of the magnificent natural scenery – now there’s a hiking holiday. But even in winter the Seiser Alm offers optimal conditions. Because of the connected ski areas, Seiser Alm-Kastelruth and Val Gardena, you can enjoy 175 kilometres of perfectly maintained slopes – therefore a virtually endless skiing holiday is guaranteed. All in all it is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the Dolomites but also definitely worth a short visit.
