The Eisack Valley (Valle Isarco)
The gateway to the Dolomites
Of all the people who drive through the Eisack Valley from the Brenner pass to Bozen, only very few realise that they are travelling right next to the Dolomites in the south. Unfortunately, the narrow valley from Brixen provides but a few glimpses of the Dolomites peaks of Schlern and Geislerspitzen. Nevertheless, together with Puster Valley, the Ladin Val Gardena valley and the valleys of the Rosengarten group, some of the most important valleys branch off from here into the heart of the Dolomites. The Seiser Alm is also nearby. In addition to the neighbouring towns of Brixen and Klausen, the Eisack valley also offers plenty of sporting activities for its visitors.
Holidays in the Eisack Valley
The close proximity to some of the most important Dolomites valleys makes the Eisack Valley a popular holiday destination. Here you can choose from a wide range of activities in both the summer as well as in the winter. Whether hiking, mountain biking or rock climbing on the Seiser Alm, in the Rosengarten and the many other attractive mountain valleys in the summer or limitless skiing on the slopes of the Dolomiti Superski, the possibilities are endless here.
