Marina di Venezia
Camping paradise Litorale del Cavallino on the Adriatic
Marina di Venezia, as the narrow spit of land Litorale del Cavallino is called, extends east from Venice to Jesolo. 40 of the best campsites in the country are lined up here along the miles of sandy beaches. In general, beach holidays and swimming dominate the headland in the summer, so if you have not already booked one of the many campsites or a hotel on the headland you should definitely avoid weekends for a daytrip if possible. Because then veritable crowds of cars pass along the narrow streets, all looking for a suitable parking space and a free spot on the beautiful sandy beaches. At least the latter should be no problem due to the vast extent and length of the coast.
Punta Sabioni is located at the extreme western tip of Marina di Venezia. From here, ferries leave every hour to the lagoon city of Venice. The travel time is about 40 minutes (costs about 6 €) to St. Mark’s Square. Holidaymakers from Jesolo and Marina di Venezia should definitely use this ferry when visiting Venice in any case since Venice is very complicated and difficult to reach by car. For campers, Litorale del Cavallino is certainly the best place on the Gulf of Venice.
