Thesuccessfulcommanderexpandedthechurchto createapompoustombforhimselfandhisfamily. The general is immortalisedinthefacade–surroundedbyhis brothersandnumerousbattlescenesandmaps, which tellofhisgloriouslife. Inside thechurchthere are threeimportant works: “Christwith the saints,Francesco diPaolaandGiustina” and“FourEvangelists” byJacopoTintoretto, and the only workinVenicebyPeterPaulRubens“MarywithChristChildandSt.JohntheBaptistasa child.”
