Resort on the Riviera of the Cyclops

The small town of Aci Castello is located only a few kilometres north of Catania. Thanks to numerous beaches and flat polished lava stones, the small town has become a popular holiday resort. The elegant small centre is dominated by an imposing Norman castle, which stands on a basalt rock in the harbour towering over the sea. Besides the castle, there is nothing to see in Aci Castello - a small walk along the promenade is worthwhile in any case.
