Largest crater lake in the Alban Hills

Lake Albano is the largest crater lake in the Alban Hills. Fed by underground tributaries, the lake is now a popular haven for water sports enthusiasts and swimmers. Around the black sand beaches beach resorts, bars and boat rentals are lined up, which are used by many Romans especially in the hot summer months. The woods are ideal for leisurely walks and short hikes. From the panoramic road "Via dei Laghi" you have a wonderful view of the volcanic lake and the surrounding area.
