Teolo
Starting point for beautiful hiking tours
The village Teolo in the Euganean hills is, thanks to the surrounding mountain peaks, an ideal starting point for hikes and bike rides. The town itself has little to see. Perched high above the city on the Rocca Pendice are the ruins of a medieval fortress and in the centre, next to the Venetian Palazzetto dei Vicari from the 16th century, there is a small art museum. In addition, the Roman historian Livy was born here.
More significant is the hill village in the wooded Euganean hills which is a good starting point for hikes and bike rides. The location at the foot of the Monte Grande and the easy accessibility of the Monte Rua and the Monte Venda make for ideal conditions for a wonderful holiday in Teolo. Bikers from the nearby spa towns Abano Terme and Montegrotto Terme who have successfully made their way through the idyllic hilly countryside also tend to stop here.
