Beach holiday in Emilia Romagna
Modern beach holidays originate from the kilometres long sandy beaches around Rimini. The area where the first lido was opened on 1 July 1843, attracting little visitors, is, today, crowded by countless beach holidaymakers, tourists and sunbathers every summer. All along the entire beach section hotel after hotel can be found with the serially numbered beach sections offering splendid touristic infrastructure. Marina Centro, Bellariva, San Giuliano Mare, Rivabella, and Viserba are the names of Rimini’s beach section where beach furniture can be rented for a fee. While this might not necessarily come in cheap, one additionally gets extensive sports and leisure time options for all ages.
Those who do not want to spend money or are travelling with their dog find public beach sections near Piazza Boscovich and in San Giuliano Mare. Arriving early is necessary, particularly in midsummer, as these sections are naturally very crowded.
