Beaches north of Taormina

Beach lovers are in good hands in the eastern part of Sicily in the villages of Letojanni Sant'Alessio Siculo and Santa Teresa di Riva. They are not only an inexpensive place to stay close to Taormina, but also provide vast sandy beaches which are perfect for walking, swimming and relaxing – a summer holiday as you would imagine it.

The towns themselves are relatively small and narrow. Along the pretty seafront promenades, there are numerous good restaurants, pizzerias and cafes. Those who prefer more lively nightlife can drive to the near town of Taormina. Thanks to the nearby motorway, exciting excursions to Catania, Messina and Mount Etna are possible on a seaside holiday.
