Spa resort amidst the Euganean hills

The small town of Galzignano Terme is located about 15 kilometres southwest of Padua and has some 4,500 inhabitants. The beautiful location between the wooded hills of Mount Rua and Monte Gallo makes Galzignano Terme an ideal base for hiking or mountain biking through the Euganean hills. Galzignano Terme has some great hotels with soothing hot springs, which offer a very diverse programme.

Attractions in Galzignano Terme

The small town does not offer much to see save for the ruins of the two Benedictine monasteries, San Giovanni Battista sul Monte Venda and Monte Orbieso. From the small church of Santa Maria Assunta you have a beautiful view over Galzignano Terme and the surrounding hills. In the village itself it is worth visiting the Villa Barbarigo Valsanzibio, which has a beautiful Italian garden.
