The former hospital located halfway between Piazza Maggiore and Archiginnasio now houses Museo Civico Archeologico, which grants countless insights into the origins of the city. Prehistoric finds from the Villanova era to Etruscan and Celtic exhibits to fascinating insights into Greek and Roman times impress visitors from all around the world. Bologna’s archaeological museum is also home of one of the most important Egyptian collections in all of Europe.
